Senior Associate with over 20 years of experience and a distinguished track record of more than 15 years in the hydrocarbon sector, specializing in the regulatory framework, technical fundamentals of Upstream and Downstream segments, corporate compliance, and the structuring of international agreements. She has held executive leadership roles at YPFB (National Oil Company of Bolivia) as Director of Upstream and International Relations, and subsequently as Head of Legal Compliance. In this latter role, she provided comprehensive support to key operational processes and senior leadership, focusing on strategic and logistical management for fuel imports.

Her experience in managing and analyzing international commercial arbitrations in the energy sector gives her an advanced technical perspective when reviewing and drafting contracts, enabling her to identify procedural risks and safeguard agreements from their inception. She is a specialist in predictive conflict resolution through the design and administration of multi-tiered dispute resolution clauses—work backed by a strong foundation in energy diplomacy, bilateral and multilateral negotiation, and strategic legal representation for executive leadership.

Her comprehensive technical background is backed by advanced postgraduate qualifications, including a Master’s Degree in International Relations, Diplomacy, and Integration (UASB, Bolivia); a Specialization in Hydrocarbon Law and the Energy Industry (UCA, Argentina); and a Diploma in International Investment Agreements and Arbitration (ECLAC/IISD, Chile). She has also completed high-level executive training in Investment Treaties and Arbitration at Columbia Law School / CCSI (Columbia University, USA), Commercial Arbitration under ICC and CNC Rules, and Public-Private Corporate Synergies at McGill University (Canada).
